Cookie Policy
Last updated May 18, 2026
IMGifyx is intentionally light on cookies. This page explains what browser storage we use and why.
1. What we use
Rather than tracking cookies, IMGifyx primarily uses your browser's LocalStorage to remember non-sensitive preferences — your theme, default export quality and default output format — so the app feels consistent between visits.
2. Optional local history
If you enable local history in the dashboard, a small activity log is stored in LocalStorage on your device. It never contains image contents and is never transmitted.
3. Strictly necessary storage
Some storage is essential for the app to function (for example, remembering your theme to avoid a flash of the wrong colors). This data stays on your device.
4. No advertising or cross-site tracking
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers that follow you across the web. IMGifyx has no advertising business model.
5. Analytics
If privacy-respecting analytics are enabled in production, they measure aggregate page visits only and do not use invasive identifiers or capture image data.
6. Managing storage
You can clear IMGifyx's local data anytime via “Clear local data” in the dashboard, or by clearing site data in your browser settings. Doing so resets your preferences and history.
